LIFE PROCESS

JUST STUFF ABOUT AN ORCAS LIFE PROCESS.

MOVEMENT
whales use their flukes that go up and down to propel
themselves forward.

RESPIRATION
when an orca whale uses it's blow hole to inhale and exhale.

SENSITIVITY
the orca has sensitive skin, taste buds and eyes. also high frequency sounds 50 KHZ (kilohertz) and above are picked up by the lower jaw and soaks up the sound that leads through the jawbone which leads to the middle-inner ear and gets received by the brain.

GROWTH
male orca whales are estimated to grow up to 5.8 to 6.7m. the female orca grows up to 4.9 to 5.8m.

REPRODUCTION
females eggs get laid in their stomach and are born while the baby is awake (like a human, since their mammals too).

EXCRETION
the orca uses it's blowhole to get rid of mucus and carbon dioxide. it also has glands at the inner corner of the eyes that contains mucus that washes away debris and lubricates the eyes.

NUTRIENTS
whales eat fish, squid, seals, sea lions, walruses, birds, penguins, polar bears, baleen and other toothed whales.
